loudspeaker.png 6th newcomer festival

Yesterday I was on the 6th newcomer festival in Ilmenau called VORSICHT! Band. It was a very loud event.
There were a lot of students, known faces and other rock people. The styles of the bands differed a lot. They played rock, hip hop, funky styles and many more on three stages. We all had a lot of fun and danced all the time. The bands rocked the house (ehm, our cafeteria ;))

My absolut favourite was the band Good Mourning. They come from Erfurt and played a good mix of low and loud accords. The female voice was really nice. The band got the second jury award.

After the festival we went to the BD club because the bhc closed because of to less people. So a lot of people celebrated the aftershow party in the BD. It was very very hot there. But we had fun nevertheless.

All in all a great night, too. And now after the long day, time to sleep for me.

Chemnitzer Linux Days 2008

On Saturday I was on the Chemnitzer Linux Days 2008. It was hard to travel there and travel back, because of Emma. But it was cool as usual. I listened to one presentation about software licenses and then went around and talked to some people - for example to the Symlink guys and to the CACert guys and to many others. It was fun. All in all a very good event - since 10 years.

If you would like, you can even have a look at my pictures of the CLT 08.
Maybe I see you in the next year there, too. :-)

music.png SonneMondSterne

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday Astrid and I have been at the SonneMondSterne festival in Saalburg. It is an electronic music festival. They played there a lot of techno, house, minimal and other electronic styles.

There were different tents, where different DJs played and mixed their tracks. But there existed also show stages outside, where different live bands performed.

We saw DJ Rush, Northern Lite and 2raumwohnung live on stage. It was a big party there in every tent on the area.

The atmosphere was amazing. I never felt something like that before. The light effects were really cool because they matched the vibes of the music very often. The people danced there all the time and had a lot of fun. The music was very amazing, too. Great event.
It doesn't surprised me much that the readers of the magazine de:Bug voted for SMS as the most popular festival in 2005.

It was all in all a big party there. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed the time as good as possible. I also learned one thing on that weekend: Mud cannot destroy joy, fun and a great atmosphere. I will never forget this weekend. It was really fantastic.

humans.png 10 days ISWI

Today started the ISWI (International Student Week in Ilmenau)[*] 2007. It's an event with lots of presentations about global topics. For example Matthias Platzeck will talk about school, university and the profession.
The topic of this year is Time to think. The ISWI is also a good place to get in touch with other nations and find new friends.

The HSF (Hochschulfunk) will send ISWIradio 24 hours per day live. It's like a little marathon for the technique and the human beings. The timetable is filled with a lot of interesting shows about the whole ISWI and nice music for every hour.

iSTUFF (Ilmenauer Studentenfernsehfunk) will present the ISWISION like every year.

Both shows (ISWIradio and ISWISION) could also be received over the new technology DVB-T on place 23. It's a project of the FeM (Forschungsgemeinschaft elektronische Medien e.V.). You could also have a look at the whole timetable to find your favourite shows.

Hopefully you enjoy your time and the ISWI and have a lot of fun. :-)

humans.png FlirtParty

20 o'clock will start a Flirting Party in my town. I received a mail of an admin of aooa.de therefore.

The location is named LINUX and there is LAN access. Hopefully it will be a little bit funny.

Update 00:25: It was a crazy party. There were 20-30 people in the age around 20,30. The girls came with their friends, so there wasn't any chance to get in touch with one. On the other hand the guys were too mainstream to find any topic. And the freaks there were too much... freak. You see? :-/ And the computer run Win(tm) XP and not LINUX. :'(

But I like such an evening in the real world. It's different from anything else. You have got time for yourself and you feel something (boring?). One of the female waiters was really sweet and very sympathetic.

All in all a nice evening/night in the real world. And I like the walks through my town and through the night very much... but I don't feel mainstream now. Strange.

Please have also a look at the pictures of the event - for non-members I added a location here. All pictures are copyrighted by 'Singlefinder' on aooa.de (see LICENSE).

Noia_64_apps_proxy.png Street Festival

Yesterday was the second wednesday in September - so it was time for the street festival of the pro vita Academy Nordhausen.

I saw there some old friends and a lot of sweet girls. But also a lot of pregnant women, who weren't too much older than I am. And there were a lot of little childrens, who belong to the pupils (I am unwilling to call them students ;-)). It was really strange. Can you imagine that I could be a father right now? I cannot!

The program wasn't better than the girls who made it. I remember some art festival which was really cool, but which has got a real higher niveau than the program I saw yesterday. But that doesn't suprise me much.

I hate prejudice but I even more hate when they come true.

Datenspuren - the end

Hello, now I'm back at home and ready to write a short entry about the last day of the Datenspuren in Dresden.

Everything began with a very nice breakfast with the organization team in the morning, then the first presentation about DNSSEC and then some other nice presentations.

All in all it was very nice and fantastic. Maybe I will have just another try to go to the Datenspuren next year, too.. maybe then with my $gf.
Have a great night.

Datenspuren - the night

This night between the 13. and 14. May - there is the party on the Datenspuren. It's currently really loud here but the day was interesting and full of suprising stuff. So it's a good way to relax a little bit here and sit down and drink Club Mate.

Nice night to all of you. You rock!

Datenspuren - first day

Hello... currently I'm sitting in the presentation about the information in judgment in general and in special. It's really cool here...
In the morning I met Tim Pritlove shortly, and it was really nice to see him in real life.

We will see what else today will happen... I'll plan to meet Jens to ask him about the keysign party at Chemnitz and the statistics.

So have a nice day.

demonstration in my town

I was about eleven o'clock on my way to my work and saw in front of the city hall a demonstration. I saw about 30 people with at least three posters. On them were messages against the "social coldness".

Ca. 2 metres away from the demonstration there were two cars of the police with at least three police officers. They had a critical view of the demonstration.

For the short notices, in my town live around 42.765 inhabitants on an area of 89,32 km^2.

All in all, I don't believe that the people who demonstrated there were agreesive or unpolite against the police officers. All in all it seemed to be a happy event with music (Nena - Wunder geschehen e.g.) and some political statements - No reason to 'control' their freedom of speech, I think.

Chemnitzer Linux Days - After-Treatment

Hello guys outside of my computer...

Today I worked on the after-treatment of the Chemnitzer Linux Days.
I signed all PGP keys and uploaded them to the key servers. After it I installed my new gallery and uploaded the pictures of the event.

Chemnitzer Linux Days - 2. Day

Hello guys...
I am now on the Chemnitzer Linux Days, second day.

Yesterday, I met Venty here, because of Symlink. It was really fun, because I read him only and now I know him in real life. Really cool. :-)

But the presentations aren't bad, too. I listen to a presentation about our security on the Internet (TOR project) and before to Joerg Schilling.
Yesterday, there were really cool presentations about GPLv3 and the morality of free software.

Update@home: I'm sorry for not naming all of the Symlink people. But it was also cool to met XTaran for the first time.
The Symlink guys are really nice and cool. So thanks to all of them for the great time in Chemnitz and please go on (maybe we will meet each other on other events one more time ;)).
